Root of It All: No Joy

No Joy is Montreal’s finest shoegaze, noisepop band. Since the formation in late 2009, the band hasn’t kept quiet. They released three records, of which the latest was released last year via Mexican Summer Records. They played festivals as SXSW and Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, and played with bands in the likes of Vivian Girls, Best Coast and Wire. Knowing this Canadian band will  play a loud and hypnotizing live show,  we’re thrilled to welcome them back for one of their two UK shows this June.

As preparation for their London show at Moth Club this June 6th, we’ve asked No Joy about some of their inspirations and they have come up with some… interesting ones.

No Joy’s newest EP ‘Drool Sucker’ will be released on July 15th via Top Shelf Records.
